Version 1.3.6 follows the v1.3.5 release with a round of sync fixes for calendars shared through your Caffeinated account, plus a fix for the hour the timeline views open at.
Your Caffeinated calendars stay one calendar (Desktop, iOS, Android)
- Signing in on a second device could leave the same calendar listed several times, most often Personal, with your events scattered across the copies. Each device was creating its own calendar instead of joining the one already there.
- Every device now recognizes the same calendar, and the copies you already have are folded back together, events and all, the next time each device syncs.
Your events reach every device (Desktop, iOS, Android)
- In a calendar synced through your Caffeinated account, an event created on one device couldn’t be edited or deleted from another. The change was saved on the device you made it on and then quietly dropped on its way to the server.
- Edits, deletions, and new events now travel in both directions between every device you’re signed in on.
Syncing starts when you sign in (Desktop)
- On the desktop a calendar only began syncing if you happened to open its sharing screen, so a signed-in user could watch their events stay on one machine with no sign of why.
- Signing in is now enough, and calendars made in earlier versions start syncing on their own.
A moved occurrence stays moved (Desktop, iOS, Android)
- Changing a single occurrence of a repeating event could overwrite the rest of the series, or come back as a second copy sitting beside it. Each occurrence you change now keeps its own place in the series.
Week and Days start when your day does (Desktop, iOS, Android)
- Day starts at only moved the Day view. Week and Days opened at midnight, so a day beginning at 8 AM started eight empty hours off screen. Both now open at the hour you set.
- Changing that hour takes effect right away instead of after the next swipe.
- The setting now sits under Day hours in Settings, since it’s no longer about the Day view alone.
